WATER LAYERING - WATERFALLS AND POOLS
The easiest way to show you how to do this trick, is to give you a link to an excellent video. Sometimes, it can be better to actually see something being done, alongside the spoken instructions.
We have searched through many of the video's on youtube, and we have given you the link to the one which we recommend. It covers waterfalls as well as lakes/ponds.

One thing that you need to remember, is that tinkering with water involves a lot of individual trial and error. But this video is a good place to start and will steer you in the right direction.

As explained in the video, you can use stone or dirt paths, to overlap your water, to make your lakes, ponds, etc. However, since the introduction of the Freestyle Designer Hands, this has now been made easier.
If you have purchased the "hands" then you will be able to create all water illusions without the aid of paths. The "hands" enable you to directly layer, sections of water, and to overlap them with other items. This also applies to paths. If you don't have the hand's , but in fact have a friend who does, then you could possibly invite them to your farm, to place these items for you. This would be a way of taking advantage of the hands, even if you haven't got them.
If you are lucky enough to own the hands, then why not make full use of them, and help out your less fortunate friends and neigbours (providing you have time, of course)
Finally, to summarise once more.... the layering that you have watched in the video, can now be done without the use of paths, providing you have and use the Freestyle Designer Hand.
